Where on (Google)Earth #10?

Okay...Ron has gotten the last few of these....someone else needs to step up!

No clues until there's a few guesses.

that was fast....yes, that is the easternmost point on Long Island, a pile of glacial junk essentially...

This is Montauk out on the end of Long Island. I was on a field trip that Les Sirkin ran which I think might have visited this very spot. All that I can remember is that the terminal Wisconsinan moraine runs offshore at this point.

This looks like it might be another moraine running down the spine of Long Island, sometimes referred to as the Ronkonkoma moraine. Les had a big debate with John Sanders, who thought the Ronkonkoma was an Illinoian margin. Les considered it a recessional Wisconsinan position.

Has anyone else noticed just how lousy the google earth pictures for antarctica are?
